Job Opportunity: Senior Membership Recruiter - Forestry England

Location: High Lodge, Thetford Forest (own transport required)

Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour, Real Living Wage, Guaranteed Weekly Pay

Hours: 14 - 32 hours per week - Saturday & Sunday during term time plus two extra days during school holidays.

Role Duration: June - September

Forestry England cares for and manages over 1500 forests across the country, offering the public the opportunity to explore and enjoy these natural wonders through national membership. High Lodge is a place to let off steam, escape the crowds and find peace in the heart of the forest. You'll find easy-going trails for all abilities, historical sites and lots of adventure and exploration with a range of exciting activities.

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate Senior Membership Recruiter to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to increase Forestry England's financial resources by recruiting new members. As a Senior Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in managing the onsite membership program, ensuring smooth operations, and inspiring visitors to become members of Forestry England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire visitors to become Forestry England members (local or national membership).
  • Build strong working relationships with onsite staff, understanding the forest's features and Forestry England's programs.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the membership program, including placement strategy and coordinating with site staff.
  • Set up and dismantle the gazebo daily.
  • Confidently approach and engage visitors, initiating conversations and building rapport.
  • Clearly present information about membership benefits.
  • Use digital devices to complete membership applications and assist other recruiters.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring visitors feel valued and connected to Forestry England.
  • Represent Forestry England's core values to every visitor.
  • Focus on personal development and improving engagement techniques.
  • Support the training of fellow team members as needed.
  • Promote a positive image of Forestry England and the membership program.

About You:

  • Strong commitment to Forestry England's core values.
  • Confident and approachable, confident approaching and initiating conversations with visitors.
  • Ability to meet membership targets and handle objections.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse people.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to promote Forestry England's work and mission.
