Role: Sales Manager – Food Manufacturer

Salary: Up To £50,000

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and implementing sales strategies and managing key accounts. This role involves close collaboration with production, marketing, and Commercial NPD teams to ensure alignment with company goals and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and execute sales strategies, growth and overall performance to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers.
  • Acting as one of the primary points of contact for major customers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms alongside the Commercial NPD manager to secure favourable agreements for the company
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential growth areas in the UK and worldwide markets.
  • Preparing and present regular sales reports, including performance metrics and insights.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills that can build co-operative relationships.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Analytical mindset and excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and industry regulations is a plus.
