Role: QA Auditor (6-Month FTC)
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (8am – 4pm)

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a QA Auditor to join our dynamic team. You will be part of the IGC team, but the role will be based at our third-party logistics company, DFDS, in Deeside. You will be responsible for ensuring the food safety, quality, and compliance of our raw materials before they make their way to IGC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct goods in inspections on all raw materials against the agreed specification and the agreed schedule
- Manage supplier non-conformance system
- Perform organoleptic testing
- Support with material-related issues
- Deliver, operate and maintain all activities required to ensure food safety, quality, legality and integrity throughout all site production, storage and packaging operations.
- Conducting audits of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), paperwork completion, chiller temperatures and stock rotations, internal systems, hygiene, personal hygiene, Critical Control Points (CCPs) and fabrication on an hourly/daily/weekly/monthly basis as per schedule.
- Conducting micro testing as required
- Validate and verify key food safety, quality and legality processes and shelf life of products through testing and audit techniques. Raise, report and investigate internal and external non-conformance reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Food Safety level 3 (Desirable)
- HACCP – level 2 (Desirable)
- Food handling and manufacturing experience (Desirable)
- Experience within a similar quality assurance role (Desirable)
- Good organisational skills whilst demonstrating initiative
- Detailed-focus with a high level of accuracy
- IT proficient – Outlook, Word and Excel
- Analytical and methodical in solving problems
You will have a two-week induction where you will get to know the team and the requirements of the role. The training will take place at our site in Gorton, and you must be able to travel to the location during this time.
