Inspired Global Cuisine are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. We are an ambitious company who have grown significantly over the last 2 years, now producing over 1 million meals a week and have plans to continue to grow. This includes a re-location to a brand new 369 thousand square foot site in Chadderton, Oldham in May 2026 where we plan to double our volume over the next few years. About the role
We are seeking a Materials Planner to join our dynamic team. Ensuring all materials are available to maximise weekly production output against production plan, and to minimise materials waste impact. Working with long term materials planner to ensure stock holding aligned to budget requirements and working collaboratively across the Supply Chain function, wider teams within IGC and a range of suppliers.
Key responsibilities
- Ownership of assigned categories to deliver required materials in a timely and cost-effective way.
- Management and reporting on waste (long-term stock at risk).
- Collaborate with Purchasing on challenging MOQ’s/Lead times/Prices and update the system.
- Ensure delivery of NPD lines – all materials are set up, requirements known and orders placed.
- Ensure alignment of NPD meetings and plan integration.
- Processing purchase orders (PO’s) relating to long-term raw materials including handling quantity invoice queries and receipting PO’s.
- Managing delisted products including stock exposure and finished goods requirements using the delist form.
Qualifications and Experience
- Required – Proven experience of materials management and working within a Supply Chain role.
- Required - Experience of using multiple systems such as Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Excel and various others Supply Chain based systems.
- Desirable – Food manufacturing experience.
- Desirable - commercial awareness gained from previous role(s).
