Salary: up to £52,500 per annum depending on experience

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (usually 8am-4pm, some flexibility may be required)

Inspired Global Cuisine (IGC) are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. We are an ambitious company who have grown significantly over the last 2 years, now producing over 1 million meals a week and have plans to continue that growth. We are relocating to a purpose-built brand new site in Chadderton, Oldham this year.

The Packaging Buyer is responsible for overseeing the development and management of packaging strategies that enhance product appeal, ensure quality, and support sustainability goals. In addition to packaging, this role also has responsibility for managing selected raw material and commodity categories (e.g., dairy), ensuring cost efficiency, supply continuity, and alignment with overall business objectives.
This role requires a deep understanding of packaging trends, materials, and technologies and a strong understanding of commodity markets, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- In-depth understanding and demonstrable experience of packaging materials, technologies and sustainability practices, preferably with a food background
- Confident in using all Microsoft Office applications
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification
- Food manufacturing or retail experience
