ROLE SUMMARY:
Wetherby Senior School was founded in 2015 and is a member of the Inspired Education Group. There are approximately 450 boys on roll, all of whom study at least one language for five years. We consistently deliver strong academic outcomes, regularly adding at least 0.5 of a grade Value Added at both IGCSE and A Level. Our students achieve places at top universities in the UK-such as Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, Durham and UCL-as well as internationally, including the University of Chicago, Georgetown, Bocconi in Milan and the IE Business School Madrid.

Wetherby Senior is now looking for a Teacher of Geography to join our well-established and high-performing department from September 2025 . Geography is a popular option at both GCSE and A Level, and student outcomes are consistently strong. The department benefits from subject-specific classrooms, excellent digital resources, and a rich co-curricular programme including fieldwork and Model United Nations. We follow the AQA specification across all key stages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons, maintaining strong progress across all key stages.
- Teach Geography to GCSE and A Level, using AQA specifications.
- Plan and assess effectively, using data to inform teaching and providing meaningful feedback.
- Support pupils with diverse learning needs and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental development through meetings, shared resources, and curriculum planning.
- Stay up to date with subject knowledge and participate actively in INSET and CPD.
- Play a key role in enrichment, including fieldwork trips, lectures, and the Geography Scholars Programme.
- Support the school\βs Model United Nations programme (experience or interest is welcome).
- Support the pastoral care system, including tutor responsibilities and supervision duties.
- Contribute to the broader life of the school through co-curricular activities and events.
- Uphold the school\βs values and policies, especially in relation to safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion.
