Role Summary

KS2 Teacher/Founding Educator (Years 3‑6) – Edge Academy, Founding Team, West London, September 2026. Part‑time curriculum design from April 2026, full‑time from September 2026.

Opportunity

We are now appointing a founding KS2 Educator with an appetite for innovation to help bring this model to life. Design the academic architecture for KS2 – mapping mastery progression, sequencing core knowledge, and building clear assessment benchmarks. Develop the academic framework alongside the current role, competitively compensated. From September 2026, join the founding team and work alongside educators and support staff. Interviews conducted on a rolling basis; early applications encouraged.

Morning: Academic Mastery (Mathematics, Reading, Science, Languages, Computing)

• Ensure precision of AI‑powered personalisation.
• Deliver a focused, high‑intensity morning block of approximately three hours.
• Design and maintain clear KS2 progression pathways.
• Define mastery benchmarks and non‑negotiables.
• Use live data to identify and close gaps rapidly.
• Deliver short, sharp, high‑impact workshops.
• Ensure automaticity, depth and secondary readiness.

Afternoon: Applied Intelligence (Projects, Public Speaking, Leadership, Entrepreneurship)

• Lead structured, high‑energy life‑skills workshops.
• Coach every child to speak with clarity and confidence.
• Develop resilience, ownership and goal‑setting.
• Facilitate projects culminating in tangible outputs.
• Build a culture where effort and excellence are unmistakable.

Founding Responsibilities

• Shape systems within a start‑up environment.
• Establish behavioural and academic norms from day one.
• Help recruit and model the calibre of future educators.
• Refine the operating model as we scale.
