ROLE SUMMARY: Reddam House Berkshire is a co-educational, independent school, housed in a Victorian mansion and set in 125 acres of wood and parkland. We have 800+ students between the ages of 3 months and 18 years registered here (day students and boarders from age 11+). Our structure of Early Learning School, Junior School, Middle School and Senior School means that every year group works with professionals who specialise in working with the students in their care.
We currently have a vacancy for a Data/Exams Officer commencing February '26 - term time only (including INSET/Open days) plus 4 weeks (includes attendance during GCSE and A Level exam results days during the summer holidays). Reporting to the Head of Academics, the post holder will lead on the maintenance and management of the School’s Management Information Systems (MIS), such as iSAMS and Connect, overseeing the collection and handling of student data, and reporting process to ensure parents receive effective and timely progress details about their child. This role also includes the responsibility for the co-ordination of all activities related to both internal and external examinations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data: Manage and be accountable for the use of the school MIS to support student data, including classes, timetable, extra-curricular activities, end of term and end of academic year processing.
- Support teaching staff in the timely production and distribution of academic reports, including termly objectives and course outlines.
- Support parent and student access to the MIS, through the parent and student portals.
- Lead on the management of the iSAMS exam package, importing base data from the various awarding bodies.
- Exams: Familiarise with all regulations laid out in the JCQ rulebooks on the conduct of exams, coursework and controlled assessment, access arrangement, malpractice and general regulations.
- Develop and monitor policies and procedures to ensure that the school abides by all JCQ regulations.
- Liaise with awarding bodies on all aspects of examinations.
- Liaise with SENCo to ensure that access arrangements deadlines are being met, procedures followed and sufficient resources available for approved students.
- Collate exam entries and submit these entries by the deadline, ensuring that these are checked.
- Collate a summer public exams timetable for the school and inform staff, students and parents as appropriate.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Proven experience of data management/exam coordination.
- Excellent organisational and IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
- Previous experience of working in education would be desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines especially during exam/reporting periods.
