ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired Education is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Head Office team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to compliance and HR administration. You’ll assist in ensuring we meet all regulatory obligations while also helping to attract top non-academic talent across our portfolio of schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR skills in an international setting, working alongside experienced HR professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is based in our Mayfair Office, and follows a 4 days office/1 day wfh split.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operational HR: Monitor and record all staff absences on the relevant HR systems, and ensure supporting documents are filed as appropriate. Assist the HRBP with day-to-day enquiries and projects. Ensure the completion of leaver paperwork, arrange exit interviews and archive files as necessary. Assist with monthly Payroll, compiling reports which include all staff changes, absences, joiners and leavers etc. Support the preparation of documentation for internally promoted staff.
- Compliance: Assist with obtaining, documenting and maintaining relevant pre and post appointment checks for successful applicants, including DBS checks, Right to Work information, social media checks, health checks etc. Under the guidance of the HRBP, ensure that the Single Central Record is kept up to date and is compliant with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. Create and maintain employee records, physically and in relevant HR systems.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Advertise vacancies and provide an excellent candidate experience to prospective applicants. Track applications, prepare shortlisting packs and liaise with candidates and hiring managers for interviews. Assist with onboarding successful candidates and ensuring they have a smooth induction process.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Previous experience as an HR Administrator/HR Assistant or in a similar HR support role.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
- Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS) and maintaining employee records.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive and adaptable approach.
- Customer-focused with a passion for supporting employees and stakeholders.
