ROLE SUMMARY:
St. Anthony’s School for Boys is looking to appoint a Gap Assistant starting in September 2025. We are looking for a well-educated, enthusiastic, and positive individual who can make an effective contribution to this vibrant and thriving boys’ prep school. This person would be able to contribute to some of the School’s major sports, which are Football, Rugby, Hockey, and Cricket. The Gap Student post will be for one academic year, full-time. The Hours of Work for this role are 8:00am – 4:15pm. The Gap Student carries out any tasks, as could reasonably be expected, as directed by the Deputy Head, on behalf of the Headmaster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Deputy Head
- Assist the PE department and accompany school teams at sports fixtures
- Undertake break and supervisory duties
- Chaperone children on the School bus each morning
- Contribute to the extra-curricular clubs
- Attend school outings and trips
- Accept responsibility for the welfare and care of all pupils at the school, at any time
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities.
- Able to use basic technology – video, photocopier.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults.
- Appropriate knowledge of first aid.
