KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Construction & real estate category procurement management of capital projects, including all construction projects, including new-build, refurbishments, and fit-out.
- You will build, develop and maintain strong relationships with global project capital projects teams, and external contractors, consultant and suppliers.
- You will align with and deliver the procurement strategy across all projects. Generating value in cost, programme and quality.
- You will manage the procurement of various school-wide contracts, and you will provide the best value for money. Negotiating and influencing pricing to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- You will review and monitor performance at all times, implementing improvements where necessary. Ensuring that all supply chain partners are deployed consistently, efficiently, economically, in line with their contractual requirements.
- You will lead or support procurement workshops, lessons learned sessions and development plans where necessary.
- Ensure material requirements are always met, managing scheduling and logistics. Liaising with the project teams to ensure successful and profitable outcomes on all projects.
- You will provide professional procurement advice and consultation on competitive tendering, supplier evaluation and selection, and contract management and monitoring.
- You will conduct financial due diligence to support procurement decisions. Ensuring that all suppliers meet our minimum performance requirements.
- You will work closely with the Commercial team to benchmark externally to ensure Inspired practices and strategies are aligned with current market practices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Proven experience in construction & real estate procurement and supply chain management
- Knowledge of construction contracts
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship skills
- Commercially astute, including data analysis
- Pro-active, with strong organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to take ownership, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively
- High I.T. proficiency
