Are you a qualified counsellor passionate about making a difference in the lives of those experiencing mental health challenges, addiction, or self-harm? At Inspire Wellbeing, we're hiring a Community-Based Counsellor to deliver early intervention and therapeutic support through our Step 2 Substance Use, SHIP, and Employee/Student Assistance Programmes.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering solution-focused, evidence-based counselling to a varied caseload of 25 clients weekly
- Supporting individuals aged 14+ affected by addiction, self-harm, or mild to moderate mental health issues
- Offering both face-to-face and remote counselling, working flexibly across multiple NI locations
- Using CBT, psychodynamic, and problem-solving techniques, aligned with NICE guidance
- Collaborating with GPs, clinical teams, and safeguarding professionals
- Contributing to a risk-aware, person-centred service model
What we're looking for:
- Diploma in Counselling covering CBT-informed approaches
- Accredited member of BACP, IACP, BABCP, UKCP, NCS or equivalent
- 1+ year's post-qualification experience with individuals affected by mental health, substance use, or self-harm
- Strong risk assessment skills and knowledge of adult and child safeguarding
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (or reasonable alternative)
