Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting for a Technical Estimator. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Estimator to join a manufacturing business in Chesterfield. This role will involve supporting international sales activity by producing high-quality, technical specifications. Working at the intersection of sales, engineering and supply chain, you will analyse client requirements, define project scopes and develop accurate cost models to ensure proposals are both deliverable and profitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial specifications creating 2D and 3D drawings
- Analyse customer specifications, requirements and contractual documentation
- Develop accurate cost estimates aligned with margin, risk and delivery expectations
- Define clear scopes of work, including assumptions, exclusions and identified risks
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop compliant technical solutions
- Liaise with supply chain and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times and technical input
- Support the full bid lifecycle from initial enquiry through to project handover
- Contribute to proposal strategy, value propositions and marketing initiatives
- Maintain and improve proposal tools, templates and cost models
- Capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement
