We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sports Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a modern sports and leisure facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer experiences, driving participation and revenue, managing staff, and ensuring the centre operates safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational, commercial, and people-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the sports centre, ensuring smooth and efficient running at all times.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, safeguarding policies and operational standards.
- Manage facility maintenance, cleanliness and equipment to a high standard.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and service improvements.
- Recruit, train, manage and motivate centre staff, including duty managers, instructors and support teams.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
- Manage rotas, staffing levels and absence to ensure effective cover.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and customer-focused team culture.
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience across all services and facilities.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and proactively.
