Job Description
Finance Manager
Inspire are recruiting Finance Manager to oversee transactional finance, ensure robust compliance, and deliver accurate management reporting within a high-precision manufacturing business. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements and support strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Lead and support transactional finance staff, resolving queries and improving processes.
- Monitor company spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Produce weekly KPIs, management reports and spend analysis.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare management accounts to strict deadlines.
- Support audits and statutory reporting, including VAT and Corporation Tax returns.
- Administer bank accounts and company credit cards.
- Maintain fixed asset and tooling registers.
- Assist with payroll and cross-departmental financial input.
About You
- CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in SME finance management, including period-end reporting.
- Strong technical accounting skills with a good understanding of UK GAAP.
- Advanced Excel and proficiency in accounting systems.
- Detail-focused, process-driven and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
