CNC Turner – Programmer (Siemens Controls)
Salary: £17.00–£20.00 per hour
Hours: Regular day shifts
Inspire Resourcing Ltd are seeking a CNC Programmer for our client in the Mansfield / Chesterfield area.
The role is with a precision engineering company who are seeking an experienced CNC machinist who can program, set and operate CNC lathes using Siemens controls. This is a stable days based role offering excellent pay, a clean working environment, and long term career security.
Duties include:
- Program, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Siemens controls
- Produce precision-machined components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Carry out quality inspections using a range of manual measuring equipment.
- Monitor tooling condition and make adjustments to optimise machining performance and production efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and health & safety within the work area.
- Work flexibly to meet production deadlines and adapt to changing workloads.
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with managers and colleagues.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours support where required for breakdowns and varied production demands.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer
- Ability to program and edit using Siemens controls
- Strong understanding of turning principles, tooling and machining practices
- Confident reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
