We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Engineering Stores Person to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth running of the engineering and production functions by maintaining accurate stock levels, coordinating inventory, and supporting engineers with timely access to parts and materials. We are looking for someone who is reliable & trustworthy, self-motivated with a positive attitude and possesses strong time management and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive, store and issue out complete units, spare parts, tools and consumables
- Maintain accurate inventory using ERP
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits
- Organise and label stock efficiently
- Unload and receive deliveries
- Assist with courier collections ensuring shipping documentation is present
- Package and dispatch goods
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant stores areas
- Identify and upload documentation
- Safe movement of goods through the building
- Recycle and dispose of packaging materials
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management
- Strong materials handling skills
- Experience in stock management, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
- Mechanical engineering knowledge beneficial for equipment identification or troubleshooting
- Warehouse experience including load & unload operations using forklifts or other machinery (certification preferred)
- Good communication & teamwork skills
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures such as inventory control and stock rotation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good general IT competence with ability to adapt to new software and digital tools
Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
