The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing a range of metal products to a high standard, ensuring all work meets quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
- MIG welding to a high standard (TIG experience beneficial)
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Using fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring work meets specifications
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Assisting with installation work when required
- Working closely with colleagues and production teams to meet deadlines
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as a Metalwork Fabricator or Welder Fabricator
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using fabrication equipment and hand tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full right to work in the UK
Desirable
- TIG welding experience
- Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications
- CSCS card
- Forklift licence
- Experience within structural steelwork or bespoke fabrication
- Full UK driving licence
