DVLA are looking for a Senior Agile Delivery Manager to support a major, multi-year transformation of its vehicle services, helping to modernise digital products used by millions of people across the UK. You will lead and support agile squads working with modern, cloud-based technology and have access to their renowned agile learning pathway.

This role is suitable for someone who has strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or an Agile Delivery Manager, with line management experience and a genuine passion for helping teams deliver well.

You will also have access to DVLA's renowned agile learning pathway, offering recognised certifications across Scrum, Kanban, agile leadership, facilitation, scaling and DevOps. It is a standout opportunity to keep developing within a mature agile capability while working on high-impact digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive IT planning activity, including sprint planning, release milestones, timelines and product roadmap delivery.
  • Support teams to deliver in line with DVLA's IT Strategy and wider government digital agenda.
  • Champion agile ways of working, using tools and metrics to improve transparency, predictability and continuous improvement.
  • Line manage, coach and support skilled engineering teams, helping people develop and deliver successfully.
  • Create a positive, flexible team environment that supports delivery at pace and adapts to changing priorities.
  • Experience delivering digital products and services in a changing environment, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Technical background with experience managing large-scale deliveries using agile methodologies.
  • People management experience, including building positive team culture and supporting professional development.
  • Confident advocate for continuous professional development and helping drive cultural change across government.
  • Previous line management experience, agile delivery knowledge and the ability to work through ambiguity.
