Lead the delivery of digital products used by millions across the UK. DVLA is seeking a Senior Product Manager to work with agile delivery teams, manage product backlogs and drive the successful delivery of complex digital services. Based in Swansea, this permanent role offers a salary of £62,515 (including a £5,000 Recruitment and Retention Allowance) plus c.29% employer pension contribution plus excellent Civil Service benefits. Hybrid working applies with a minimum 60% office-based in Swansea.

About the Senior Product Manager role: As a Senior Product Manager, you'll lead the delivery of digital products and services that support millions of UK citizens and businesses. Working closely with agile delivery teams, stakeholders and technical specialists, you'll ensure products deliver value, remain operationally healthy and continue to evolve to meet user needs.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of complex digital products and services.
  • Work closely with agile delivery teams to maximise value and outcomes.
  • Manage product backlogs and competing priorities.
  • Balance new feature development with operational stability and technical health.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, change and technology teams.
  • Support and develop Product Managers and Agile Delivery Managers.
  • Drive continuous improvement across products and delivery teams.
  • Ensure successful delivery across multiple products or complex services.

Essential Skills for the Senior Product Manager:

  • Experience in owning and delivering digital products and services through different phases of the product lifecycle, including operational running of the product.
  • Proven experience using agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with changing priorities.
  • Experience in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams.
