Join a global IT services and consulting leader as a Platform Engineering Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering transformative technology within one of the UK's most respected banking groups. This is your opportunity to shape the future of modern banking technology through leadership, innovation, and cutting-edge engineering practices. Salary up to £100k plus bonus with offices in London, Leeds and Edinburgh and potential for hybrid working.
In this role you will be at the heart of technology strategy, mentoring high-performing engineering teams focused on delivering modern, cloud-native applications across digital platforms. You will drive technical leadership, enabling DevSecOps culture and contribute to delivery of governance aligning to the bank's QBR.
Responsibilities:- Champion knowledge share across and within labs.
- Drive technical leadership, engineering excellence, required interventions strategy and capability relevant to platform priorities and focus.
- Contribute towards delivery governance aligning to the banks QBR, big room planning, agile events and ceremonies.
- Exposure to JavaScript framework with API/Microservices background, Cloud-Native App Development.
- Experience in developing modern tech apps, channel experience design and build.
- Prior experience in mentoring a large technical team and evangelising emerging tech practices and trends.
- Innovation, strategy and thought leadership.
- Experience/expertise to monitor/measure/improve engineering maturity amongst the feature teams.
- Public Cloud experience.
- Engineering Leadership to drive engineering culture among the team.
- Experience in driving engineering in “product based’ organisation and agile mindset.
- Experience in driving DevSecOps and Automation culture among the engineering team.
- Insurance domain experience is highly desired.
- Tech Dependency management, stakeholder management skills and storytelling abilities.

- Alongside base salary of £90,000-£100,000 you will receive an annual bonus of up to £10,000.
