  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes
  • Use Docker to support consistent application deployment
  • Work closely with platform, infrastructure and engineering teams to integrate software solutions
  • Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews
  • Mentor and support other engineers where appropriate

Essential criteria

  • Professional software engineering experience

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms and data structures
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development practices
  • Experience with Docker and containerised application delivery
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Ability to understand and discuss how different languages, APIs and services integrate
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable criteria

  • Experience with Java or Python
  • AWS or Azure experience
  • Kubernetes
  • Agile and DevSecOps environments
  • Web security and secure coding principles
  • Experience mentoring or leading other engineers
  • Experience within Defence, National Security or another secure environment

Benefits

  • £60,000-£75,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Private medical cover
  • Life assurance
  • 10% employer pension contribution with 5% employee contribution
  • Company-performance bonus
  • Professional development and training support
  • Secure onsite parking, gym, café and restaurant
