Within the Technology Strategy & Architecture function for Data, Analytics and AI, this role provides architectural leadership across enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms that support nationally critical services operating under high levels of security, regulation and scrutiny.
As a Lead Solution Architect - Data Analytics, you will:
- Define and govern solution and enterprise architectures for data analytics platforms
- Translate business strategies and requirements into target architectures, solution designs and technology roadmaps
- Produce architectural artefacts including blueprints, technical options, design patterns and high-level designs
- Shape architectural decisions across complex initiatives and represent architecture at governance forums
- Lead and develop a team of architects, supporting capability development and delivery
- Engage with senior stakeholders across Technology and the wider Bank
- Promote best practice across the data lifecycle, including data governance, quality, security and responsible use
Essential skills for the Lead Solution Architect - Data Analytics include:
- Significant experience in IT architecture with a strong focus on data and analytics solutions
- Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise-scale data platforms
- Deep expertise in cloud-based data and analytics services on the Microsoft Azure platform (e.g. Azure Databricks, Azure ML)
- Experience shaping proofs of concept and evolving designs into production solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders
- Experience leading and developing architecture teams
Desirable skills for the Lead Solution Architect - Data Analytics include:
- Experience working with architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
