Join Our Team as a Senior At Risk Mental State (ARMS) Practitioner! Do you enjoy supporting young people to achieve their goals, empowering families, and reducing the impact of mental health challenges? As a Senior ARMS Practitioner, you\’ll lead and support a team delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions for people aged 14-35 who may be at risk of developing psychosis. You\’ll carry a caseload, provide care coordination, assess and manage clinical risk, and work closely with families, communities, and partner organisations to improve access to early intervention and holistic support. You\’ll also play a key role in training colleagues, supervising junior practitioners, and shaping the future of the service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions for people aged 14-35 at risk of developing psychosis.
- Carry a caseload, provide care coordination, assess and manage clinical risk, and work with families, communities, and partner organisations.
- Improve access to early intervention and holistic support and contribute to service development.
- Train colleagues, supervise junior practitioners, and help shape the future of the service.
Who we’re looking for
- A qualified mental health professional (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, RMN), or someone with substantial experience working in mental health settings.
- Someone who is great with people—able to listen, show empathy, and build positive relationships.
- Confident in assessing risk, developing care plans, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Holds a valid UK driving licence (or one that permits driving in the UK) and has access to a vehicle for work purposes.
