Inspire Neurocare place the people we support at the heart of our service, and our main aim is to empower recovery and restore lives by providing life changing neurorehabilitation and specialist care for people living with complex neurological conditions, brain and spinal injuries, strokes, early onset dementia and progressive neurological conditions. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our neuro-rehabilitation team. The post holder will provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with acquired neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, progressive neurological disorders, and other complex presentations.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to holistic, person-centred rehabilitation programmes that support communication, cognition, and swallowing, enabling individuals to maximise independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication, cognitive-communication, and/or swallowing disorders resulting from neurological conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with service users, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver therapy across a range of settings (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, community, home visits as appropriate).
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary goal setting, case discussions, and discharge planning.
  • Provide education, training, and advice to families, carers, and other professionals to support ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation in line with service and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support students, assistants, or junior colleagues as required.
  • Ensure practice is in line with professional standards, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation.

Your Skills and Expertise:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with adults with neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, brain injury, neurodegenerative disease).
  • Knowledge and application of evidence-based assessment and intervention for communication and/or dysphagia in neuro-rehabilitation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and inclusive practice.
