Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and review PBS plans
- Undertake functional behaviour assessments
- Provide leadership, training, coaching and supervision to staff teams
- Reduce restrictive practices and promote positive risk-taking
- Deliver PBS training and support practice development
- Analyse incidents and behaviour data to drive improvement
- Work closely with MDT colleagues and support safeguarding processes
Qualifications and experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or related discipline)
- Specialist training in Positive Behaviour Support or behaviour analysis
- Significant experience working with individuals who display behaviours that challenge
- Experienced PBS practitioner within health or social care, ideally regulated by CQC, with proven experience of developing and implementing PBS plans
- Strong understanding of behaviours that challenge and functional analysis
- Confident influencing practice and supporting staff teams
- Knowledge of CQC standards, MCA, DoLS and safeguarding
- Experience of coaching, mentoring or training staff teams
