Our Housekeeping team ensures the supply of both clean laundry and housekeeping services throughout the home and contributes to the provision of cleaning, laundry and domestic services.

The Kitchen Team contributes directly to the wellbeing and recovery of our residents. Working closely with chefs, therapists and multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure that meals are nutritious, well‑prepared, and tailored to diverse dietary needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure the supply of both clean laundry and housekeeping services throughout the home and contribute to the provision of cleaning, laundry and domestic services.
  • Ensure all areas of the care home are clean, hygienic, and well‑maintained, including bedrooms, communal spaces, and bathrooms.
  • Handle laundry and linen care with attention to residents’ personal belongings.
  • Interact with residents, offering assistance when needed to help them feel at ease.
  • Maintain housekeeping supplies, reporting any shortages to the manager.
  • Support and assist the chefs with day‑to‑day food preparation, including chopping, mixing, portioning and assembling ingredients.
  • Support basic cooking tasks under the chef’s supervision, helping to deliver high‑quality meals in line with planned menus and meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents.
  • Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure safe methods of work are used.
  • Manage all stocks and stores, ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place.
  • Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks.

About you

  • Previous domestic experience in a similar care home setting.
  • Flexible and reliable attitude.
  • Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision.
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
  • Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
