We have an exciting opportunity available to join our team of Playworkers providing care and activities to school age children aged 4-11 years.

As a Playworker you will:

  • consult with the children and involve them in planning of activities.interact with children and engage in meaningful indoor and outdoor play experiences and yet supervise them.
  • establish positive and sensitive relationships with children. To act as a role model and set achievable expectations.
  • maintain positive relationships with parents /carers, informing them about the Club, exchanging information about the children and encouraging parents involvement.
  • Provide a healthy and safe environment at all times for all children in the Club; reporting any concerns with regards to the premise, outdoor area or equipment to the Club Leader and/or Area Manager.

You will need to be: passionate about outdoor learning and physical developement, a child magnet, as well as; skilled at teaching young children, know when to ask questions and when to listen, patient, reliable, flexible, friendly, motivated, enthusiastic and hard working.

The role is part-time: before & after school and during school holidays.

Established in 2001, The Charnwood Nursery & Pre-school Group (CNPG) began as a single site, 26 place pre-school and now comprises of four nursery and pre-school settings as well as three out of school and holiday clubs based in Thurmaston, Syston, Rothley and Mountsorrel.We deliver a bespoke curriculum, designed around the needs of children and their families, ensuring that they gain skills, knowledge and confidence for future learning.
