Wembley Park Montessori is looking for a passionate and dedicated Room Leader to take responsibility for the daily running of a nursery room, support children’s learning and development, and help create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. This role is ideal for an experienced Early Years professional who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and creating engaging learning experiences for young children.

About Wembley Park Montessori

Wembley Park Montessori provides Montessori education and childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery follows the Montessori approach alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children to develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning through carefully planned activities and experiences.

The Opportunity

As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring children receive high-quality care and education within a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment. You will lead your room team, support children’s individual development, maintain strong relationships with families, and help deliver the standards of care and learning expected at Wembley Park Montessori.

How You’ll Support Children’s Growth

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of your allocated nursery room
  • Support, guide, and work collaboratively with Early Years practitioners within your team
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities based on children’s needs and interests
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development
  • Support children’s emotional, social, and educational development
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Maintain accurate children’s records and learning frameworks
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety requirements are followed
  • Maintain a stimulating, organised, and welcoming learning environment
  • Work closely with the wider nursery team to provide a positive experience for children and families

What You’ll Bring to the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years education and confident in leading a nursery room. You will ideally have:

  • A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or in a similar leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Experience supporting children’s learning, development, and assessments
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to support and encourage colleagues
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality childcare

Montessori experience is welcomed, but a strong foundation in Early Years practice and a commitment to children’s development are essential.
