About the role:

The Football Academy Coach role is based at Thomas Rotherham College, Rotherham, South Yorkshire S60 2BE. Working hours Fixed Term Contract from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027. Due to the College Sports programme requirements, the successful candidate will need to be available for the following core session during term time: Wednesday: 11:40am to 5:00pm (start time is dependent upon home/away fixture).

Key duties:

The successful Football Academy Coach will:

  • Develop the Women's Football Academy programme.
  • Support the development and growth of women's football within the Trust, including contributions to future outreach initiatives, such as holiday football camps, community engagement and player recruitment pathways.
  • Administrate the sports academy, contributing to its recruitment and smooth and efficient running.

About you:

The successful Football Academy Coach should:

  • Hold a UEFA B Licence (minimum)
  • Have experience in football coaching (ideally within the women's game)
  • Deliver engaging, structured sessions
  • Be reliable and committed to fixed weekly sessions
  • Have an interest in developing programmes beyond coaching
