We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provision in Wolverhampton for a passionate and resilient Teacher to support students with SEMH, SEN, and additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a strong practitioner looking to make a genuine impact within an alternative education setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support students with SEMH/SEN and barriers to learning
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain effective classroom management
  • Contribute to pastoral support and student wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals
  • Encourage student engagement, confidence, and personal development
  • Maintain safeguarding and compliance procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
  • Hold QTS/QTLS or are willing to work towards it
  • Have experience working within SEN, SEMH, alternative provision, or secondary education settings
  • Can build positive relationships and effectively engage young people
  • Have strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Are committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and high educational standards
  • Remain calm, adaptable, and resilient in challenging situations
