The school supports young people aged 11 - 16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs, using a nurture-based approach focused on emotional development and engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and qualified Nurture Teacher or SEN Teacher seeking a rewarding teaching role in North Surrey or within commuting distance of Leatherhead.

You will play a key role in delivering a personalised and engaging curriculum, while creating a calm and structured classroom environment where pupils can build confidence and re‑engage with learning.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering adapted, therapeutic and engaging lessons
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • Creating a nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe and understood
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews and individual learning plans
  • Working collaboratively with families, therapists and a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Using a low‑arousal, positive approach to behaviour support

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEN, ASC or SEMH pupils
  • A nurturing, calm and patient approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
