Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm (Term time only)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Pay: £14.01–£15.40 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role

You will support pupils in a SEND school with a range of physical, medical, and complex learning needs. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and mobility support
  • Assist with feeding, hygiene, and medical routines
  • Support pupils in the classroom with learning and daily activities
  • Encourage independence, communication, and emotional wellbeing
  • Use appropriate strategies to help pupils engage and regulate
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Contribute to a caring, inclusive, and positive school environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and safeguarding
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Health and Social Care Level 2/3 or Teaching Assistant qualifications) are desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
