Position Details:

  • Location: Banham, Norfolk
  • Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday) or part-time (4-day week), term time only
  • Salary: £12.50 - £14/hr (Holiday pay included)
  • Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Prepare engaging learning materials and organise interactive activities.
  • Provide hands-on support, addressing the emotional and physical needs of pupils.
  • Encourage individual development, helping pupils engage meaningfully with the world around them.
  • Support indoor and outdoor classroom activities, adapting to diverse pupil needs.
  • Lead outdoor learning initiatives, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver creative lessons and maintain a clean, safe classroom.

SEN Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in similar roles, especially supporting pupils with Autism (desirable).
  • A team player who thrives on collaboration and sharing ideas.
  • A passion for supporting neurodiverse pupils, particularly those with Autism.
  • Experience working with young people with learning disabilities or Autism is advantageous.
