We are recruiting for an SEN Teacher with a PE specialism to join a supportive specialist school in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This role involves delivering engaging and accessible lessons to students with special educational needs, helping to promote both academic progress and personal development in a structured and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons, with a particular focus on PE, encouraging students to build confidence, teamwork, resilience, and positive participation. You will work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and the wider school team to support pupils with a range of additional needs and barriers to learning.
Contract: Temporary role with potential for extension / long-term opportunity
Pay: £150 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start: ASAP
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs.
- A strong interest or specialism in Physical Education.
- Ability to build positive relationships and effectively manage behaviour.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
- Ability to commute to Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
