Inspire EHC is working with a specialist primary SEN school supporting pupils aged 6–11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to deliver engaging, personalised learning to pupils who are working below age-related expectations. This role is ideal for teachers who thrive in a nurturing, structured environment and want to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
- Support pupils with ASC, SEMH and complex needs
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, annual reviews, and multi-agency meetings
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (Therapists, SEN staff, TA support)
- Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment
- Implement behaviour strategies to support pupils with challenging behaviours
- Promote pupil progress in academic, social and emotional development
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching KS1 / KS2 (or equivalent SEN setting)
- Knowledge of Autism (ASC), SEMH, and complex needs
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
- Experience managing behaviour effectively in an SEN setting
