Contract SEN Teacher – based near Royston, in South Cambridgeshire. We are proud to announce that our client, a specialist independent day school for children and young people aged 6 to 19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs near Royston, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join their team. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons suitable for students with complex needs
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Implement specialist teaching strategies to support children with diverse and complex needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, recording achievement and areas for development
  • Promote a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment for all students
  • Work with external professionals and families to ensure holistic student support

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience in SEN settings
  • Experience in working with children with complex needs and special educational needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and patience
  • The ability to adapt teaching styles to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive approach to supporting inclusive learning environments
