We are recruiting for a Behaviour & Inclusion Support Assistant to work in a specialist education provision supporting pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs. This role focuses on supporting students to engage positively with education, manage behaviour effectively, and access learning in a structured and supportive environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team of teachers, pastoral staff, and support workers to help remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes for all pupils.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and SEN needs in and out of class
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience
- Working closely with staff to implement support strategies
Requirements:
- Experience in education, care, or youth support
- Understanding of SEMH/SEN needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient and consistent approach
- Commitment to safeguarding
