Roles Include:
- As an SEN Teacher, you will lead inclusive, creative, and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of learners aged 4 - 11 or 11 - 16.
- Whether you have a background in mainstream or specialist settings, we welcome your experience and passion for inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons for students with SEN and/or SEMH.
- Teach small groups (up to 10 pupils), with the support of three skilled classroom staff.
- Adapt your teaching to suit individual EHCPs, learning styles, and needs.
- Guide and mentor support staff (TAs and HLTA) within the classroom.
- Collaborate with therapists, pastoral leads, and senior leaders to ensure holistic student progress.
- Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding, and equality in every session.
- Track and report on both academic achievement and social-emotional development.
What You’ll Need:
- QTS or QTLS (applications from ECTs warmly welcomed).
- A keen interest in SEN/SEMH education; prior experience preferred but not essential.
- Confidence in adapting lesson content for learners with autism, dyslexia, anxiety, ADHD, or complex needs.
- A flexible, resilient, and nurturing teaching style.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (many schools are in rural areas).
