The Role

As a Humanities / PHSE Teacher (SEMH), you will deliver creative, accessible and meaningful lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils across two small, nurturing campuses. With class sizes up to 10 students and a learning approach rooted in movement, connection and curiosity, this is a role where you can truly teach beyond the textbook. Your lessons will bring humanities concepts and PHSE themes to life, helping students explore the wider world, understand themselves and develop the confidence to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach an engaging, adaptive Humanities and PHSE curriculum tailored to diverse SEN and SEMH needs
  • Use creative, hands-on and movement-based approaches to make learning memorable
  • Support pupils' academic progress as well as their emotional and social development
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral, therapeutic and education teams
  • Plan and assess against EHCP outcomes, ensuring every learner makes meaningful progress

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS or QTLS (essential)
  • Experience in mainstream or SEN settings (Humanities/PHSE experience strongly preferred)
  • Confident in adapting learning for pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to re-engage learners
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for travel between sites)
