The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Support learning, communication, and daily routines
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviour confidently
- Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and life skills
- Work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Support personal care and wellbeing where required
You will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, engaged, and able to reach their full potential.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ideal Background
- SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
- Support Worker with children or young people
- Experience with ASD, SLD or PMLD is highly desirable
Additional Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of two professional references
