We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Enhanced Resource Base, supporting pupils who require additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement in learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference and helping children feel supported, confident and successful in school.

Role

  • Supporting pupils within the Enhanced Resource Base
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Helping pupils engage with learning and school routines
  • Working alongside teachers and other support staff
  • Providing support in small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour
  • A calm, patient and consistent approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Confidence managing behaviour in a positive and supportive way
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development

Experience in an SEMH, specialist or resource base setting would be highly desirable, although transferable experience will be considered.
