We are currently partnering with an independent preparatory school in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for all our students. They pride themselves in their inclusive environment and commitment to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth. Our partner Prep School caters for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 pupils and has been a big part of the Cambridge, Cambridgeshire education community for several years.

We are seeking a compassionate team member to be employed as a full time 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide personalised support to a highly academic pupil with global developmental delay. The successful candidate will work closely with the student to ensure they can fully engage with our all-round education package and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to the pupil during lessons and activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the pupil's Individualised Education Plan (IEP).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes the pupil's social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Facilitate participation in school activities and extracurricular programs.

Commuting to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Mon – Friday 08:30 – 16:00.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of global developmental delays and learning differences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, support work, or a related field are an advantage.
