About Inspire 2 Ignite: Inspire 2 Ignite works with young people who are disengaged from education or at risk of becoming NEET, creating opportunities for hands-on experiences, skill development and personal growth. Our alternative education programmes are built around relationships, trust and relevance. We meet young people where they are, adapt our approach to individual needs, and focus on building confidence, skills and a sense of possibility through meaningful experiences. We work closely with schools, local authorities, community organisations and employers to deliver youth-centred programmes that feel human, not institutional.

The Role: We are looking for an Associate Programme Facilitator to support the delivery of our Alternative Education programmes. This role is hands-on and relational, involving both 1:1 and small group work with young people who may have experienced disengagement, exclusion, trauma or disrupted education. You will be responsible for preparing, facilitating and evaluating sessions, working closely with the Inspire 2 Ignite team to ensure delivery is safe, engaging and responsive to the needs of each young person. This is an associate role, offering flexibility and autonomy while being part of a supportive and reflective team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and plan sessions aligned with programme aims and individual needs
  • Facilitate engaging, youth-centred sessions on both a 1:1 and group basis
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Adapt delivery in the moment to respond to behaviour, mood and engagement levels
  • Support young people to develop confidence, communication and practical skills
  • Complete session reflections and evaluations to inform programme learning and improvement
  • Work in line with Inspire 2 Ignite’s safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team around attendance, progress and any concerns

Location & Commitment:

Delivery will primarily take place in St Neots and Huntingdon, with occasional sessions in other local venues. Sessions will be scheduled in line with existing programme structures. This role is term-time only and aligned to funded delivery periods.

Who We’re Looking For:

You will likely have experience in alternative education, alternative provision, youth work or similar settings, and feel confident working with young people who may be disengaged from traditional education. We’re particularly interested in people who are:

  • Comfortable working with young people who present with challenging behaviour or complex needs
  • Confident facilitating both 1:1 and group-based sessions
  • Calm, adaptable and able to respond to changing dynamics
  • Reflective practitioners who value learning and continuous improvement
  • Strong communicators with clear boundaries and a relational approach

Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential - relevant experience and the right approach matter most.

Pay & Contract:

Associate / sessional contract. Paid time includes session preparation, delivery and evaluation. This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Continue working with Inspire 2 Ignite on future programmes
  • Increase days as delivery scales
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of alternative education programmes
  • Be considered for longer-term or employed roles as the organisation grows

We are a growing organisation and value people who want to grow with us.
