The Group Head of Marketing is responsible for developing compelling messages for sales, products and the Company and then delivering these messages through a variety of platforms, utilizing campaigns and an array of marketing channels. The Marketing Team reports into this role and will support in the delivery of these campaigns and messages. This role will work closely with Product Management to define product messaging, launch plans, marketing campaigns with a focus on driving sales globally. Our product portfolio is sold internationally both directly and through distributors so an understanding of how to market effectively through both sales models is vital.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall, short term, medium term and long term product marketing and communications plan which align to company strategy.
- Work with CCO to align product marketing and communications plan with wider business objectives.
- Manage the Group’s promotional budget to maximise impact of the products and services offered by the company.
- Management of Marketing Team to deliver business needs.
- Management of Marketing Team outputs including proof reading and sign off.
- Overall responsibility of events and exhibitions including strategy, messaging, product focus, attendance, organisation and implementation.
- Creation and roll out of compelling sales, product and marketing messaging.
- Own the delivery of product marketing launch plans, working closely with Commercial and Product Management.
- Ownership of the Group website, including design, copywrite, product marketing collateral, company marketing materials and press releases, maintenance and compliance.
- Identify and present the key market drivers and opportunities, supported with accurate market intelligence.
- Build efficient go-to-market strategies working closely with Product Management.
- Track performance of marketing activities, analyse and optimise with corrective action when needed.
- Identify and initiate campaigns to enhance and solidify our brand and product positioning.
- Promote best use of external communication techniques and manage all external communications.
- Develop in-depth customer understanding and integrate customer specificities in product & campaigns development.
- Localise campaigns and messaging as required to suit a global audience working with our distribution network.
- Identify the key buying personas and market segments targeted for our products.
- Create content in order to expand audience and engagement across our key platforms.
- Marketing input into new product design and development working closely with Product Management.
- Anticipates trends to better understand the market environment, develop marketing vision and suggesting direction based on evidence and logic.
- Successfully develop and maintain relationships with cross functional teams including Product Management, Clinical and Sales.
- Responsible for internal marketing communications.
- Successfully partner with vendors and agencies to ensure the strategy, approaches, and requirements for marketing execution are understood and interpreted appropriately for quality delivery and execution.
- Adhere with Inspiration Healthcare Group policies, standards and procedures in every interaction.
- Design and manage digital strategies for engagement and education i.e. webinars.
- Uphold brand values throughout the Group to ensure consistency of messaging and value proposition.
- Written reports to be produced monthly to CCO.
- Management of all created marketing materials through the correct approval process.
- Ensure compliance and regulations are met throughout all marketing.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Strong understanding of medical device regulatory requirements.
- Global marketing experience in medical devices, ideally respiratory and/or neonatal.
- Proven success in new product launches globally including developing effective messaging.
- Excellent analytical skills and able to review the success of marketing campaigns.
- Proven success in leading and developing a team.
- Desirable: Master's degree.
- CIM qualification.
- Sales experience in medical devices or pharma.
- Graphic design and video editing.
