This is a technical leadership role for someone who still enjoys being close to the code and infrastructure — but wants to shape platform direction at scale.

The Role

  • Lead the design, evolution and reliability of Inspera’s AWS platform across multiple environments, ensuring security, scalability and operational excellence.

Platform Architecture & Cloud Engineering

  • Own AWS multi-account architecture (secure-by-design)
  • Define infrastructure standards (networking, IAM, logging, DR)
  • Lead Infrastructure-as-Code strategy (Terraform preferred)
  • Ensure high availability and resilience across production SaaS environments

CI/CD & Release Engineering

  • Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines
  • Improve deployment reliability and progressive delivery practices
  • Standardise release processes across engineering teams

Reliability & Observability

  • Define SLIs/SLOs with engineering teams
  • Improve monitoring, alerting and incident response maturity
  • Lead post-incident reviews and drive reduction of operational toil

Security & Compliance

  • Embed DevSecOps controls into pipelines
  • Implement least-privilege IAM models
  • Support ISO 27001 evidence automation

FinOps & Cost Optimisation

  • Partner on cloud cost strategy and forecasting
  • Improve tagging, allocation and rightsizing practices

About You

  • 5+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership capacity
  • Strong AWS expertise (VPC, IAM, EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda)
  • Proven Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred)
  • CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
  • Experience operating production SaaS environments
  • Strong incident management and RCA experience
  • Experience in regulated environments (ISO 27001, SOC2) and multi-region cloud setups is highly desirable.
