Inspera is a global SaaS company transforming digital assessment and learning technology. As we continue to scale our cloud-native platform, we are looking for a hands-on DevOps Tech Lead to own and evolve our AWS infrastructure, reliability strategy and DevOps standards. This is a technical leadership role for someone who still enjoys being close to the code and infrastructure — but wants to shape platform direction at scale.
The Role
- Lead the design, evolution and reliability of Inspera’s AWS platform across multiple environments, ensuring security, scalability and operational excellence.
Platform Architecture & Cloud Engineering
- Own AWS multi-account architecture (secure-by-design)
- Define infrastructure standards (networking, IAM, logging, DR)
- Lead Infrastructure-as-Code strategy (Terraform preferred)
- Ensure high availability and resilience across production SaaS environments
CI/CD & Release Engineering
- Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines
- Improve deployment reliability and progressive delivery practices
- Standardise release processes across engineering teams
Reliability & Observability
- Define SLIs/SLOs with engineering teams
- Improve monitoring, alerting and incident response maturity
- Lead post-incident reviews and drive reduction of operational toil
Security & Compliance
- Embed DevSecOps controls into pipelines
- Implement least-privilege IAM models
- Support ISO 27001 evidence automation
FinOps & Cost Optimisation
- Partner on cloud cost strategy and forecasting
- Improve tagging, allocation and rightsizing practices
About You
- 5+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- 3+ years in a technical leadership capacity
- Strong AWS expertise (VPC, IAM, EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda)
- Proven Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred)
- CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
- Experience operating production SaaS environments
- Strong incident management and RCA experience
- Experience in regulated environments (ISO 27001, SOC2) and multi-region cloud setups is highly desirable.
