Bid Manager Permanent Location: Home Based (Fully Remote – UK) Inspera are looking to recruit a UK based Bid Manager. This role will support our global Sales Team, as well as coordinate and collaborate with the global pre-sales team, led by the Global Client Evangelist in London. Purpose of the position: As a Bid Manager at Inspera, you will: Identify and qualify potential RFIs,RFPs and RFQs opportunities (‘bids’); For qualified bids, manage the end-to-end process of completing a bid to a high standard, within the timeline; Work with Solutions Engineers and the sales team to leverage the Inspera Content Centre of Excellence (internal knowledge library) of information about Inspera and our products to produce a cohesive, compelling, and credible bid response. Co-ordinate the completion of non-functional responses from key stakeholders around the business. There is no line management in this role. You are managing bids, not people. Instead, you will work collaboratively with your peers, sales leadership and the wider business when managing the response to a bid. We are looking for someone who sees a large task, can break it down into steps, articulate the steps to others and play a central role in delivering a quality response on time. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Utilising tender portals, ZoomInfo, Hubspot and internal sources to identify and qualify potential bids Track expiring contracts at public institutions Analyse bids on release to provide an initial view of our product/market fit. Assist the sales team in deeper analysis and coordinate with other parts of the business to seek their input where required Coordinate the Bid Approval (Go/No-go) Meeting where potential bids are presented to relevant leadership to decide which we will respond to Where we choose to respond to a bid, manage the end-to-end process of bids allocated to you in order to produce a cohesive, compelling, and credible bid response. You will help define the response strategy and own the overall response plan in line with our Bid SOPs Work collaboratively with Solutions Engineers to produce a first draft of a bid response using a library of product information Work collaboratively with the sales team to produce a final draft of a bid response Co-ordinate the completion of non-functional responses from key stakeholders around the business. Ensure that the final response is submitted in the correct format and on time Act as the single point of contact for the bid, to facilitate communication between Inspera and the procuring organisation. This includes Q&A, administrative matters and scheduling demos Continuously build a level of knowledge of Inspera products and services in order to be able to find the right internal SME when building a bid response Shared responsibility with peers for maintaining the Inspera Content Centre of Excellence (internal knowledge library) used to prepare bid responses Shared responsibility for keeping our Bid SOPs up to date in line with business requirements Work Experience & Skills: Must have: Experience of managing the creation of compelling documents or proposals in a collaborative environment Organisation of multiple stakeholders to complete a collaborative task Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with both peers and leaders Organised, flexible, self-motivated and the ability to motivate others Excellent Microsoft or Google Workspace skills Desirable but not essential (We will still consider your application without these but their existence will enhance your application): Background in bid writing, particularly in a high volume environment Knowledge and experience of using Loopio or a similar bid response tool Proven project management skills Experience working in the Higher Education sector Knowledge of accessibility, security and compliance in the context of bids, particularly in the UK, USA, Europe and ANZ Understanding of academic practices and workflows including teaching, instructional design, and professional learning in both higher education and corporate/government sectors Experience using Ed Tech applications- SaaS, systems integration (LTIs, APIs,), other technologies (including HRISs, CRMs, SIS, LMS, etc.)
