We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, automating, securing, and operating our AWS-based cloud infrastructure while supporting software delivery, platform reliability, security compliance, and operational excellence.
This role requires strong technical expertise across cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, observability, security, and cloud operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, reliability, continuous improvement, and enabling engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and securely.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with architects, software engineers, security teams, and technology leadership to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Build and manage highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related tooling.
- Support cloud architecture initiatives in collaboration with solution architects and engineering teams.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and cost management.
- CI/CD & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and operational processes.
- Improve deployment frequency, deployment reliability, and recovery capabilities.
- Drive DevOps best practices across development and operational teams.
- Support GitOps and platform automation initiatives where appropriate.
- Reliability & Operations
- Monitor platform health, availability, and performance.
- Develop operational dashboards, metrics, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
- Improve platform resilience through automation, testing, and operational excellence practices.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement cloud security best practices and secure-by-design principles.
- Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance requirements.
- Support identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, and security monitoring.
- Contribute to security audits, compliance reviews, and remediation activities.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a technical mentor to engineers and junior DevOps team members.
- Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and security teams.
- Contribute to platform standards, governance, and technical roadmaps.
- Participate in technical design reviews and architectural discussions.
- Promote a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Experience
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
- Experience operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong AWS expertise including services such as: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, S3, IAM, CloudWatch.
- Strong Terraform experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Knowledge in Elastic Search technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking, DNS, security, and cloud architecture principles.
