We are growing, and to support a large nationwide contract we want to bring on and train the next generation of asbestos surveyors. No prior asbestos experience is needed. We fund your training and certification and support you every step of the way towards becoming a qualified consultant. What will you be doing:

  • Learning to carry out asbestos surveys under the guidance of experienced surveyors, in line with HSE guidance (HSG264)
  • Learning to carry out asbestos air monitoring in line with HSE Guidance (HSG248)
  • Collecting samples, taking measurements and recording site information accurately
  • Supporting the team on domestic, retail, commercial and industrial sites
  • Building the knowledge and confidence to work towards independent surveying and analytical works
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times, including wearing protective equipment

What we are looking for:

  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical, reliable approach
  • A real willingness to learn and to work towards professional qualifications
  • Comfortable with hands‑on site work
  • Good communication skills and positive outlook to client delivery.
  • Desirable but not essential: Full clean UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationwide when required
  • Good communication and a positive, team‑first attitude
  • No prior asbestos experience required, any exposure to construction, the building trades or a science background is a plus rather than essential
  • Desirable, not essential, nuclear or security clearance, or a willingness to undergo it

Training and Development:

  • Full funding and support to complete BOHS P402, P403 and P404 for asbestos surveying and analytical works.
  • Structured on‑the‑job training alongside experienced surveyors and analysts.
  • A clear path to qualify, move into a full surveyor/analyst role and progress from there
